Sunnyside Expeditions is a tour operator focused on connecting people to the earth. Our experiences range from 2-hour excursions in nature to half-day scenic and wildlife tours, all the way to 10-day expeditions featuring Indigenous immersions and remote wilderness experiences. We love providing individuals and groups with exceptional adventures that not only connect people to the land but also to each other.

Travel insurance is not required for half-day tours.

Sunnyside Expeditions’ half-day tours provide a glimpse into the natural world. Our guides share insights on geography, history, geology, wildlife, and flora and fauna. These safe and engaging experiences allow you to truly appreciate nature.

Ages 2–85 are welcome on half-day trips. Some experiences require moderate hiking ability, with up to a 300-foot elevation gain.

Our half-day tours are generally easy to moderate. If you have concerns about fitness levels, feel free to ask us before booking.

We welcome participants 16 and older. We cannot predict the ages of those on a given tour, but don’t worry – age is just a number! As long as you are in good health and have a reasonable level of fitness, you are welcome.

Yes, travel insurance is required for all 10-day expeditions. Proof of insurance will be requested before the tour begins. We recommend World Nomads for travel insurance.

Packing lists vary depending on the destination, but generally, you’ll need sturdy hiking boots, layered clothing, a reusable water bottle, a headlamp, and a backpack. A full packing guide will be sent after booking.

• A $500 non-refundable deposit is required to ensure that those who book are as committed to the experience as we are.
• Many trips offer the option of a 50% deposit to secure your spot, with the remaining 50% due 60 days before departure once the tour is confirmed.

We don’t like the term “single supplement” because most of our travelers come solo! However, all tours are priced and sold based on shared accommodations unless otherwise stated.
